Children of the Light

This is from the Pulp Art Book that photographer Neil Krug and his model wife, Joni Harbeck, put out together. Joni portrays many different roles in these series of beat up, old school polaroids. I've seen a lot of the photos on Flickr, and I am dying to get my hands on the book someday. I'm sure it is amazing.

The Moon

Posting this tune by Cat Power for the lunar eclipse from the other day. It was amazing to see.

Barnacles

Ugly Casanova

I don't know me and you don't know you
So we fit so good together
Cause I knew you like I knew myself
We clung on like barnacles on a boat
Even though the ship sinks
You know you can't let go

Harry Clarke

Harry Clarke was an incredible Irish illustrator. His intricate layers of patterns weaving through his drawings amazes me. I love intricate details. All of them carry this dark, mystical vibe, which is something I'm always drawn to. Magic!

Gold Lion

Yeah Yeah Yeahs

I've been listening to a lot of Yeah Yeah Yeahs lately. Singing with Karen O always seems to make me feel better. I've always loved this song. Her voice is so raw and beautiful in this acoustic version.

Beach Fossils

I've known about this album for a few months now, and the more I listen to it, the more I love it. Some of my favorite tracks: "Youth", "Twelve Roses", "Daydream", "Golden Age", and "Wide Awake".

Just recently discovered Ken Garduno's illustrations thanks to a friend. His work is great. I'm a huge fan of his style. I love his use of acrylic ink. Something about natural wash patterns always gets me.
